Emergency
Emergencies during our opening hours
If you and your pet find yourself in an emergency situation during our opening hours, please call ahead to advise us that you are attending the practice so that we can ensure we are ready for your arrival.
We are also open for emergencies from 7pm to 9pm, from Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays). As a guide, our initial out of hours emergency consult fee (from 7pm to 9pm on weekdays) is £198.
Your call will be answered by a member of our reception team or our duty nurse, who will advise you on how to proceed.
If your pet needs to stay with us overnight, we have a dedicated inpatient nurse onsite at all times to perform checks and monitor your pet. If there are any issues, they will arrange for a vet to check your pet, or if this is not possible they will arrange for you to take your pet to our external out of hours provider.
For patients who require intensive care or hospitalisation on weekends and bank holidays, our vet will discuss your options for care and the transfer to an appropriate practice best suited to manage your pet’s care needs with you.
If there is no team member on duty to answer your call, you will be transferred to Westway Veterinary Group, our out of hours provider.
